THE GENIUS BOY is a Swiss rapper, singer and music producer.

Born Ambroise Achille Zibi on February 2, 1979 near Yaoundée, Cameroon, he moved to the Italian side of Switzerland (Ticino) on August 1st, 1983 where he was raised, studied and started his musical career.

For over 15 years he has been the only black, African born, boy in town. Extremely gifted, from elementary school to highschool, many teachers used to call him a genius and black machine.

In his childhood music to him is Michael Jackson, The Jackson 5 and some Madonna; he loves to dance and he starts collecting his first records.
In the late 80's he falls in love with Hip Hop. In 1991 he is already the leader of a band, writing rhymes and producing beats with his Akai 950, Cubase and Atari 1040. East Coast Hip Hop.

In 1997 he was close to sign a record deal with an Italian major label, but for some strange reason, they kept him and his demo in standby for 5 years and then they turned him down.

In 2002 he wants to found his own record label like Jay-Z and Roc-A-Fella, and on August 2, 2002 Achille Zibi establishes Gun Funk Records (today Gun Funk Baby).

So many things happened and has changed between then and now.
THE GENIUS BOY is the new stage name, the new beginning of
Achille Zibi the music Artist.
